Yogababy recognises the need for mums and bubs to stay connected in the early phase of parenting. The Mums and Bubs yoga classes combines a beautiful bonding time with baby and then a moment for you to gently ease back into a yoga practice after giving birth.

The classes focus on yoga postures specifically designed for the postnatal months (up to 6 months) helping you regain strength and tone in a safe and effective way

  • The yoga practice places emphasis on strengthening the pelvic floor, the abdomen, legs and back as well as on opening and relaxing tensions in the shoulders, neck and arms.

  • Yoga relaxes the nervous system and brings balance to the endocrine system (hormonal balance). It helps to create a balance between your body's physical needs and your emotional state.

  • The class places the baby in the centre of the experience, thereby helping the attachment between yourself and your baby blossom.

Benefits for Baby (6 weeks to Crawling)

Your baby's physical development requires times of unfettered energy expression and times of peaceful stillness. The yogababy sequence meets both these needs.

  • Lack of physical exercise for a baby will have the same effects as for an adult - poor digestion, constipation, emotional agitation, poor circulation and laziness.

  • The yogababy sequence strengthens both your baby's muscular abilities, digestion and nervous system.

  • Yoga assists your baby's postural development from lying to walking.
